About Schmidt Gates

Premium custom aluminium gates, designed and built on the Gold Coast.

WHO WE ARE

Gold Coast Gate Specialists

Schmidt Gates is a family-owned, award-winning business specialising in premium custom aluminium gates. Based in Burleigh Heads, we design, fabricate and install tailored gate solutions for homeowners who want better security, more privacy and a stronger street presence.

Formerly Schmidt Aluminium Fabrication, the business has evolved into Schmidt Gates — a clearer reflection of our specialist focus. Same team. Same standards. Sharper direction.

OUR FOCUS

Specialists in Gates — Not General Fencing

We’re not a generic fencing company trying to do everything. Gates are our focus — and that focus shows in the results.

From custom sliding and swing gates to fully automated driveway systems, every project is designed around your property. We consider layout, access, slope, automation and how the gate will actually perform day to day — not just how it looks.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our Vision

To set the standard for premium custom aluminium gates on the Gold Coast — through quality workmanship, thoughtful design and dependable service.

OUR CRAFT

Built with precision. Backed by experience.

At Schmidt Gates, every gate is designed, fabricated and installed with attention to detail from start to finish.

We use advanced CAD design, CNC machining and quality fabrication methods like TIG and Laser welding, to create gates that not only look sharp, but perform properly for years to come.

Our clients choose us because they want more than just a gate. They want confidence in the process, clear communication, and a result that feels like a genuine upgrade to their home.

OUR TRACK RECORD

Proven Experience You Can Rely On

With over 15 years in the industry and more than 1,500 completed projects, Schmidt Gates has built a reputation for quality workmanship, clear communication and a professional, end-to-end process.

We’re often brought in to solve complex gate projects — including jobs other companies can’t deliver — thanks to our experience, attention to detail and practical approach.

Hi there, the lads at Schmidt did a great job installing double gates within hours each side of the house. I needed custom made so there was a lead time. The aluminium finish needs little care and comes with key locks. I chose pool height fence & gates with vertical slats which let the breeze through & keep pets safe. A nice finish to the property. Thanks lads.

The service from Schmidt was amazing. The communication system they use keeps you informed at all times, and if needing to speak to anyone personally, Steph was always so helpful and sounded lovely. The guys did the job in one day and it looks unbelievable, has made such a difference to the entry into the apartment. Worth every cent!

Look... you give 5 stars when 5 stars is due. We've been doing business with Schmidt Aluminum for the past year or so. We have enough challenges in business and life so when you find a company that adds no stress and gets it right, it makes it a good and pleasant working experience.

Thankyou Dan & Erin for all you do.

Schmidt did a super job of our security gate and side panel. Erin kept us informed at very stage of the process. We are grateful that she fitted us into their busy schedule and that the finished work exceeded our expectations.

We cannot talk highly enough of Daniel, Erin and all the staff at Schmidt. Very friendly, great communication and the result is fantastic. Most companies were either not wanting to take on the job of doing our bifold gates, or were charging outrageous prices.
Highly recommend.
Thanks to you all, we love the end result. Cheers Gary and Sue
